FAQs
How do I schedule an appointment?
You can schedule an appointment by calling our office, or by completing a contact form. Following the receipt of your contact information, our office staff will reach out to you within 24 hours to schedule an appointment.
What can I expect during my first appointment?
Your first appointment will typically involve an initial assessment with our psychiatric nurse practitioner. During that appointment, information regarding your medical history, current symptoms, and any concerns you may have. This information helps us create a personalized treatment plan for you.
Do you accept insurance?
At Balanced Mind Psychiatry, we choose not to take insurance in order to protect your privacy and preserve your autonomy in treatment. Insurance companies often require detailed personal information and impose restrictions on care, which can compromise confidentiality and limit treatment options. By operating independently, we’re able to fully tailor your care without outside interference—keeping your information private and your healing process in your hands.
If you'd like to use your insurance benefits, we can provide a *superbill*—an itemized receipt you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement of out-of-network services. Please note that coverage is not guaranteed, as reimbursement depends on your specific insurance plan and policies. Please contact our office if you have additional questions.
What are the available payment options?
Payment is required prior to services rendered. We accept all major credit cards, cash, and/or Venmo and Zelle. If you have additional questions, or need more clarification regarding our fee structure and payment methods, please contact our office.
